Catherine Kearney was 24 years old when she passed away from a brain tumour and this month will mark what would have been her 30th birthday and a charity ball will be taking place this month to raise money for two hospices.

Before she died Catherine set up the charity Catherine's Crusaders which has raised a fantastic £70,000 and Catherine's aunts Brenda and Denise and her mum Joan will host the charity ball at Dunkenhalgh Hotel on the 19th November.

Tickets for the event cost £40 where guests will enjoy a four-course meal, auction, and entertainment from the Swing Commanders band. Money from the event is being raised for Rossendale Hospice and East Lancashire Hospice.
