The 21 mile Guild wheel is now in the final stages of completion. Plants and hedges are being added to create landscape projects around the wheel, before the offical opening later this year.
Work is also being carried out to widen the footpath at Fernyhalgh Lane which will provide a suitable path for cyclists.
The project has been funded by Lancashire County Council and work was carried out by Groundwork who worked alongside the social enterprise Blue Sky to help with work on that section.
The social enterprise helps ex-offenders gain work experience and training before gaining employment.
